My AMH results came back with thumbs up! Three years ago they were at 4.2 and currently they are at 2.5. Apparently anything over 1.0 is good. Did you know our egg supply decreases from the day that we are born? Crazy!!
Yesterday we reunited with our fertility specialist, Dr. Karen Lee, to talk about our game plan. Since it has been 2 years since the first IVF session, we have to undergo a few re-tests. I had my blood drawn to check my AMH levels. AMH is a hormone produced by the ovaries and the levels will indicate if I have a good egg supply or not. The only thing we will do different this time is instead of fertilizing the eggs in a petri dish mad dash marathon style, she is going to directly inject Tuan’s soldiers into the harvested eggs. Why didn’t they do this last time you ask? Usually with off the chart semen scores, they didn’t think it was needed. So now we wait until my next menstual cycle. Waiting…I’ve never really been good at this game.
